Antonio
| Antonio is ten or eleven years old. He has been at the orphanage since it began. It is believed that his parents died from AIDS. He is very intelligent but gets average or below in his grades at school. He was out of school for a year because of his health. He gets sick easily and doesn't have to do as much work as the other children because of this. He is very small for his age and one arm is somewhat paralyzed, possibly from an injection he had as a child. He has had TB and his immune system is not good. He speaks the best English of all the children. He says he wants to drive a bus when he gets older -- one that goes to America! |
